Senior Software Engineer

Salary: £40k - £50k depending on experience


We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Senior Software Engineer to join our system transformation programme. We are embarking on a journey to overhaul our ageing business and customer-facing systems to create a new, cloud-based platform of integrated micro-systems.

You will be a part of an agile team using a combination of SCRUM and Kanban. Reporting to a Software Team Lead, you will work on a project centered on delivering excellence to our customers.

Responsibilities


  • Develop and take ownership for the source code created and maintained at a high quality and security standard
  • Understand the architecture and actively take part in how the system is designed
  • Experience in writing clean, testable, secure code using
    • SOLID principles
    • Unit/Integration Testing
    • Defensive Programming
    • Clean Code
    • Design Patterns
  • Should embrace Pair/Mob programming where applicable
  • Constantly learn and improve
  • Look to innovate and think about the future
  • Encourage process and technological innovation

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in software development (Microsoft stack C# .Net)
  • Experience of working in complex project environments
  • Experience in CI/CD Pipelines
  • Knowledge of agile development practices particularly Scrum and Kanban
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
